You're definitely not the only one buying LPs. I am buying some of the worst ever recorded just to make sure they go on the site but I certainly don't want to advertise them here in this forum
Thank Clapton they are cheap
I have several remote relatives (cousins of my grandma) that emigrated from Germany to Canada in the 1950s. I imagine this is the kind of music they would have listened to, brought back from a visit to the Vaterland.

Found these, at the boot fair yesterday, at £1.50 each, which is about 50p each beyond the point at which I usually become a frowning refuser, and tight-wad Ebeneezer:
(But they are classic titles, and a few off my wants that don't turn up often (Not for those prices anyhow)

An unlaminated copy of this with stereo-less label variations (will be uploading scans soon)

And a dutch Decca "flower" cover copy of Genesis To Revelations 1977 re-press, which had a few postcard press-photos stowed away inside of the band in the GTR era (Wilderprint, and one Charisma logo emblazoned)
(again, will be uploading scans soon)
...but don't know if the postcards were sent out with this album, and so should be included in the page, or if they were stuffed in there by previous owner, just to keep them together. (Music memorabilia world?)

Kind of interesting one here - picked up for Can$1.25:
Not a toe tapper for sure, but the label is interesting. Cook was a pioneer in the field of stereo recordings. He produced 'binaural' records that had two sets of grooves, one for the left channel and one for the right, that required playback with a dual headed tonearm. He also pioneered a high quality pressing process that was far superior to the methods used by the majors.
Unfortunately, my copy is not binaural, but a curiosity nonetheless.

found hidden in the back of a box of James Last
What the heck is it with James Last. In any given day at any one of our chazzas I can find about 5 different James Last LPs. "Non-stop Party with ...", "Non-stop dancing with....", "Non-stop hits with"etc etc ... please make it stop! They all seem to be German pressings which somehow made it here to Canada when people immigrated.
Sure seems like this guy made a barrel load of lps!
