| Edison Re-Creation Vs. Edison Record vs. Edison |

 | xiphophilos Member since Dec 2013 3351 Points Moderator | I just turned an "Edison Record" of Bob Lilley's (1 disc in database) into simply Edison (101 discs). I noticed that we also have an entry for the label "Edison Re-Creation" (13 discs); several of these Re-Creations can be found under "Edison" too, though. I assume there is no actual difference between any of these records, is there. My hunch would be to simply gather everything under "Edison". Since I don't collect them, though, I want to make sure this would be okay with actual Edison aficionados. |

I just wonder if the recordings on "Edison Re-Creation" and "Edison Record" are basically the same, as, say, a recording that was originally released on a Columbia Magic Notes label and later repressed on a Columbia Gold Band label. |
