Not wishing to see 'Mistinguett' and Fred Mele's Sinfonic Jazz destroyed due to a widening hole in the center of the Odeon KI 1676 x !!

Is there a way of repairing ? Record is only a few years older than I - so would love to know for the future !!

YouT gives ideas on vinyl but not ( that I can find) -Shellac.

It's a bit worrying that the hole is getting worn larger, I mean,you are playing it on a wind-up gramophone but if the record is perfectly centred there should be no sideways forces from the spindle.

Anyway, I have no suggestions, but a) ensure the repair will centre the record accurately, and b) practice the repair on an old and unwanted record!

I would fix the worn-out hole with clear hole reinforcement labels like these:

Got your point, but had just picked it up, with others from Sunday's Vide grenier and having forgotten my reading glasses - though general state was quite good ( and they were for a euro each!) missed it;
Will try the clear labels, and let wifey know not to pulverize anymore slate and limestone.
Thank you both
Best

This kind of tool should help maintain the record steady too. The record will stay untouched. And that's very helpful with Hits Of The Week records - if you have some !

For UK Buyers I have something similar to this that works well with 33/45/78's.
