I have a few red translucent vinyl 78 speed records by RCA Victor “red seal deluxe heritage series”
Should they be uploaded under 78s or vinyl? I also have about 20 records that are 78 speed from the “Philadelphia record society” which I can’t find any info on anywhere - also on red vinyl. Oh and a label called “radiofunken”.
interesting about the radiofunken. I'm not sure how I feel about the Nazi ties, its unsettling.
theres only one so far.
I'll post it tonight, but if its promoting white supremacy or something, or if anyone finds it offensive, let me know so i can get rid of it.

walkinginmyshoes from the links provided it looks as though these records were produced and distributed for the general US market and not to promote the ideals of the label owners. If we were to censor the site due to the beliefs, misconduct or crimes of label bosses we wouldn't have much of a site, I think. There's plenty of stuff I find offensive on the site mostly down to taste really but there are also records I find politically or morally offensive such as this record. However, I see no reason to censor the site due a record's content or the beliefs or crimes of those involved. Gary Glitter and Charles Manson would be in trouble. The records you have seem to be produced purely for commercial gain rather than to promote the agenda of those behind the scenes. So from my perspective you could post the records with a clear conscious safe in the knowledge that they were made to make money not promote a political agenda.
Hmm...now that I think of it I haven't played my Gary Glitter album since he was convicted of child sex offences. Unfortunately, I'm too embarrassed to sell it now but I'm glad I don't own any Rolf Harris records.

We can hide controversial/offensive releases so they don't appear on the front page etc, but we still document them on the site. You will find all white supremacist / far right releases are already hidden.
Thanks, They are 18th and 19th century marches by Carl Woitschach. I havent played it yet because I need a new 78 needle and I dont want to mess it up. But if you google Woitschach he sounds like Hogan's Heroes. No Vocal. I'll think about it.
All other things aside, the Germany at is 'official' level in the 1930s had a rather strange attitude to music, harking back to composers that fitted its political messages and apparently on the surface against some Jazz and other wider world and European influences. I don't know how much was enforced and of course they missed out on the riches of music and similar from all performers and world ethnicities.
