A familiar tale. It's hard on the inheritors or executors

At that size (80,000 records), it sounds like some kind of Museum of Recorded Sound should be interested in it. But they would probably need the whole collection to be donated to them.

I love the way that the Australia website managed to slip in that the records were in a "Crowded House"!

Did you stay up all night burning the Midnight Oil thinking of that one?

The Ken Perkins Collection is now up for auction as one lot:
http://www.aaac.com.au/screencat3.html

It contains 30,000-35,000 45 rpm singles, 30,000-35,000 LPs, 3,000-7500 microgroove vinyl records, and 1,000 78s.

Lots of pictures show how this humongous collection was stored. Most is in book shelves, every single record in a plastic sleeve, but there are also lots of milk crates, some stacked 9 high, which would worry me a bit.
