| Editing a label name? |

 | Fokeman I used to have a good memory but now I can't re Member since May 2011 5096 Points Moderator | I was wondering if it is possible to update a label name after it is created? I'm looking at an Irish label Comlucht Céirníní Éireann If possible I'd like to add the correct accents in Irish Comlucht Céirníní Éireann but any attempt at editing the label seems to fail. Any tips? Please bear in mind there is only one record so far and I'm going to add the second of two once the label name is correct... There were no more after number 2! Rename the label Xqz or somethung, delete Comlucht Ceirnini Eireann, then create a new label with the accents. Remember to delete Xqz when it is finished |

 | KeithS SUBS Member since Dec 2009 12492 Points Moderator | I put up a new Irish label up called CCE Went to the one we wanted to change and called it CCE Moderator page unused labels now showed Comlucht Ceirnini Eireann which was deleted A new label for Ireland was put up Comlucht Céirníní Éireann Back to CCE and change to Comlucht Céirníní Éireann Edited by moderator on 1st Nov 2018, 7:05 PM |

By the way, the other LP is by the great Irish fiddler, Sean McGuire (Sean Maguire) and the both (and only) records issued by the label were 10" records of Irish traditional music. Some people who had been attempting to catalogue Irish music thought that CCE was Comhaltas Ceoltoiri Eireann (which also exists both as an organisation and a label) but it is of course Comlucht Céirníní Éireann. |
