 | BEATLEJOHN ...and your "Byrd" can sing! Member since Jul 2010 4699 Points Moderator | I have taken on the (massive) effort to "sort-out" the release order within each album entry of the UK Parlophone and US Capitol releases...Front cover order - back cover order - inserts - label order...I was kind of hoping if my UK compatriots would "look over" my shoulder whilst I'm doing this...(JPGR&B!!!)....or any other mods or members who wish to guide me through this Herculean task....I have already tried to conform the UK 'Please, Please Me' Lp..(both mono and stereo) which took me a good afternoon to do!.....( I did "With The Beatles" and now I'm onto 'A Hard Day's Night") So it's going to take a while!....but any help would be appreciated! ...thanks, John....(If you think I'm on the wrong track STOP ME....but I'm configuring the UK entries the way I would handle the US entries) Edited by moderator on 17th Jul 2019, 11:56 AM |

 | TopPopper Member since Mar 2013 2612 Points | Good work. It's definitely an improvement. Only one concern though - it's hard to know which front cover goes with which back cover and which labels etc. That's always been the case, but is there some way to make it clearer? |

Member since Jul 2010 4699 Points Moderator | The fact that I have a stereo copy of "Please, Please Me" with 1965 labels and a 1969 cover (My first UK Beatles LP purchased in 1972! ....It wasn't new, so I'm not sure if an earlier copy was "re-sleeved")....So as I am trying to be really specific with the US releases (as far as time period and order)....I feel confident my cover/label order placement is correct...but maybe a UK mod should give it a once-over...John |
