Uploading 24 artists' names again?

Hi all,

I have just finished uploading a CD album of 24 tracks called "For Children...Everywhere".

After I uploaded it, (although I had typed in the 24 individual artists' names) (when I checked after submitting it) ALL of the artists' names just shows "Various artists". Is it possible to somehow rectify this..or do I have to upload the whole thing a second time?

Btw, If a Mod see this, can you please add the correct spelling for "Children" in the CD title.

This can happen if you messed with the main artist name or copied and pasted the main artist then the whole list will revert to the main artist.

Have switched the Various Artists to ? so all you need to do is use the missing info tab at base of page and type in the Artists names.

I can sympathize. It has happened to me. If the proper 'artist' for the whole CD is "Various Artists'" you can not take what might seem to be the obvious shortcut and leave the 'artist' for the CD blank, then go back and add "Various Artists" when you are all done after entering the tracks. If you do that, and then change the main listing to "Various Arftists", all the tracks will then revert to the main artist listing. So, unfortunately, you must put the 'artist' for the whole CD in first, then modify each track as needed...

Thank you all Redpunk, rhythmdog & robozuc for all your advice and help.

I can see what happened now. When I checked BEFORE uploading, I noticed that I'd only typed in Various in the "main" artist name, so after I'd filled in all the other details ready for uploading, I changed various to "Various artists" then clicked send..

I'll hopefully not do that again in a hurry :embarrassed:

Hi robozuc,

Track 4 title on another well-known site beginning with the letter "D", they wrongly have it spelt Bear's..but I took it direct from both the booklet insert AND the back cover. (I only add items that are in my possession at the time).

By the way, thank you (especially) for typing out all 24 artists' names.

Lastly, don't worry, I will be adding the images tomorrow :grin:
