Hi, only submitted a few releases and running into problems. The guide on submitting single does not cover certain things https://www.45worlds.com/cdsingle/cs_record_add_guide.php , is there nowhere a more detailed section explaining things like what to do if more than 1 main artist, and what to add when there is no discernable label. Only mentions for composing credits to use a , between. I had entered the artists as Gerard Joling & Karin Bloemen on https://www.45worlds.com/cdsingle/cd/ms4075 now rendered as Gerard Joling And Karin Bloemen. Is that how it is supposed to be or did I do something wrong? There is no label on that release and since you cannot submit it without a label, have added the copyright company, but that does not seem correct to me. Also only track 1 is by both artists, the 2nd only 1 artist, had entered only Gerard Joling for track 2 but showing both anyway. Anyone able to help please?

And what happens to reported mistakes? How are those fixed? Who fixes those?

Hi there that's a lot of questions LOL, when you lodge a correction it goes in a list on the Moderator page then one of us Mods action it. I just corrected your entry as for & that is automatically corrected to And as the database does not like &.
If there is no label we use [none] and if no artist is shown [no artist listed].
As for if as in this case there is second artist you need to manually change it and do not mess with main artist after you have added it or copy and paste from main artist or it will revert to the main artist.
Any other questions you can always pm me or another Mod.

Thanks for the replies.

Another question if I may, have a single with artist on cover as Het Metropole Orkest o.l.v. Vince Mendoza Featuring: (whole list of featuring artists singing on the track). o.l.v. is the initials for onder leiding van, Dutch for leader/conductor of. How should I enter the main artist/s for this?

and for https://www.45worlds.com/cdsingle/cd/lbp1003 , it isn't a promo, it is a CD-R single but no option for CD-R without promo so chose CDR Promo, how can this be corrected to reflect it is not a promo but is a CD-R?

Amended Het Metropole Orkest and put conductor and the featuring artists in the notes. There is no rule written in stone of exactly how to do it, but in this case it is probably the best option.

The single was commercially available this way so changed it to cd single regardless of it being a CD-R

Changed label La Bloemen Productions B.v. to without the B.v., maybe it's even better to change it just to La Bloemen.. ?

Bedankt voor je goede werk en uitstekende scans!

the label name is La Bloemen Productions b.v. though, not La Bloemen Productions without the b.v., this is the branding used on all the release with the b.v., logo is clearer on her site upper left https://www.labloemen.nl/

about the scans, how can I remove ones I added? Mine are a better colour match to the original but due to compression or something the reds are causing the printed text to 'bleed' on the back cover https://www.45worlds.com/cdsingle/cd/8683842

Use the "Make correction" link towards the bottom of the page, describe what you want done and a moderator will oblige.

Also, if you do add better images it is site convention to add a comment respecting the original contributor's images. It's a nice thing to do :-)

Something like: "With respect to original uploader XXX added better images" as a comment. (Button Add comment) I must admit I don't do that mostly myself.....
To draw the attention of the moderators you also can make a correction request at the bottom of the page: "Dear divine moderator, I added far better ultra high resolution scans of the previously submitted mediocre images. Please change the images when you can find time to make these changes." ;-)

On the CDr point, in older formats, there used to be a clear distinction between acetates / test pressings, promos and other forms, but in the CD era, this seems to have broken down somewhat, as I've found a few Whitfiled Street CDr "acetates" (with the blue undersides) which were then reproduced and sent out as promos... so the labels did not always produce a separate item for a different function... so I think promo is the most all encompassing designation that indicates at least that it was not a stock copy or for sale to the general public.

(Except in your entry's case, it seems! )

((more exceptions to rules than rules it seems))

I don't understand why you changed from a factual label to a fictional one that does not exist. Just because it has a legal company ending does not make it any less a label. Official name and branding is La Bloemen Productions b.v., not La Bloemen Productions

Also don't understand why the main label BMG was replaced by secondary label Ariola on all the others I entered BMG. Though originally I had entered as Bertelsmann Music Group instead of BMG for the first few, it still isn't Ariola as main label. It doesn't make any sense to me.

BMG is the distributor, Ariola is the label, just like RCA is a label of BMG.

Sorry but no. She was signed to BMG (Netherlands) which was part of BMG Ariola Benelux B.V. at the time (I have seen the press photos where she is standing in front of a huge BMG logo, not Ariola). BMG and Ariola are separate labels on these releases, Ariola being the secondary one.

Still don't understand why you did this, changing from what is the correct label La Bloemen Productions b.v. to something fictional that is not mentioned anywhere, not on releases, not on her site
