| releases under different aliases, how to handle? |

 | MoreThanMusic this place reminds me of Fox News Member since Jul 2020 105 Points | Hi, when somebody releases under different aliases, how do I enter this information? I'' give an example, Pearl Jozefzoon first released under that name, then decided to change to Pearl Joan for bit, now she has gone back to using Pearl Jozefzoon. Have entered those she released under the Pearl Joan name https://www.45worlds.com/cdalbum/artist/pearl-joan, https://www.45worlds.com/cdsingle/artist/pearl-joan, and now want to add those I have she released as Pearl Jozefzoon. Should I enter those as Pearl Jozefzoon main artist? Will those artist pages be linked somehow to show they are aliases? |

 | Orbiting Cat Member since Jan 2008 1190 Points Administrator | Thanks for raising this. Please add the CD Album using the artist name as used on the CD. Then you can click the "Make Correction" link and ask a moderator to link the artists together. If it's an obscure artist then it can help to say which is the "main/primary artist name". |

Member since Jun 2014 3773 Points Moderator | Now that you've brought it to our attention, I or anywhere mod, will be able to add an alias as a pseudonym to the main artist discography, so all releases under the alternate name will appear in the discography for that main artist name... Then will add a link to "see also" - main artist discography on alternate name artist discography page, so you can find your way back to the main artist from that page where they will then be included in the main artist whole listings. If someone else hasn't already done it but then, I'll do it in the morning, as I've had a couple of glasses too many right now |
