I have the above 78 which has the same label both sides. Is this rare or are there many more out there?

I haven't been able to play it yet to find out if both sides are what they say!

The same labels appearing on both sides of a disc is not an uncommon phenomenon, be they 78s, vinyl singles or LPs. Any mabufacturing process is likely to throw out glitches like that.

If the disc actually has the same track on both sides, you may be on to something.

What label is it? US Decca, UK Brunswick, etc? And what's the catalogue number? I might be able to find out if it's particularly rare or possibly a bootleg.

As for being able to tell if it's the same song, the B-side should be Thirteen Women which ran nearly a full minute longer than Clock (Clock ran 2:08 originally, while Women is something like 2:57). I know it's not quite so easy to do this with 78s as it is with 45s but you might be able to visually tell if one side has a noticeably longer groove than the other.

Technically, Thirteen Women was the a-side... but then you knew that

That is true! LOL Though I was going to add an edit asking that, if this was a Decca label, whether it was the Decca Personality Series or straight Decca; I think by the time the straight Decca label was used, they'd already changed the B-side. My thought being, maybe this labelling error came about because of the B-side being changed, which would make it an interesting artifact.
