| Colours change when uploading |

 | concaveman Member since Apr 2011 6008 Points | During my last CD album uploads I have noticed that the colours of the images change after being uploaded. The colours look quite fine in the preview, but when the images get published they appear in a much duller colour, e.g. if my original looks something like this, it appears like this. Why is this?  | Orbiting Cat Member since Jan 2008 1184 Points Administrator | I've not seen this problem before. The only thing I can think is if your computer/monitor has an extended colorspace such as Adobe RGB or P3. All images on the website are in the standard sRGB colorspace. |

| concaveman Member since Apr 2011 6008 Points | If it has something to do with the colorspace, the preview would also appear in a duller colour, wouldn't it? The red colour is especially affected, looks truly red in the original and in the preview, but in the uploaded image it appears almost brown. |

 | carryonsidney a happy disposition is an omnious sign.... Member since Feb 2010 1707 Points Moderator | Concaveman if you are using photoshop or gimp you should be able change the image type to srgb before exporting your images to file? |

| concaveman Member since Apr 2011 6008 Points | I believe I have solved the issue by changing the output color space to sRGB on my scanner software. Looks OK now  |
