Member since Jun 2014 3778 Points Moderator | ...It could work though, If the order of the worlds that appear from top down are either presented according to the order of preference any member visited most frequently, or had most interest in, to the exclusion of others (demoted in order), or the members could actively decide themselves that order - "World widgets" (Is it asking too much for expandable and collapsible world widgets on the front page?) And how about pushing comments / reviews into the right side of the given world, in that vacant space there? In all, there has been a change in my world, and it scares me |

 | getalife So many questions, so few answers Member since Nov 2010 888 Points Moderator | When ever I open 45worlds and 45cat on my iPad the page is always bigger than my screen but not on 45spaces, is there a reason for this other than manually making the page fit the screen?. |

 | gregs45s SUBS Member since Apr 2012 7624 Points | As a fairly regular submitter, this new landing page is not helping frankly, if we can't see immediate realtime entries then we aren't just adding images blindly to a database? Which is exactly what Discogs is all about!, so we might as well go there instead!. Scrolling up and down for every entry is surely set to become tiresome/annoying?. I can't understand the need for this change, is it because you feel people are not exploring enough?, if so, then i suppose this layout would work for casual/new browsers. Would it then be possible to have a "Submitters Landing Page" button on each respective world, so that, for instance, if you were to go to CD Album World and then click on this option, everytime after you make an entry it would take you automatically to a "Latest Added/Comments" ONLY landing page, the same as the original landing page you originally had when this site started, that way, submitters could chose which landing page they preferred, and you could arrange the main landing page as you see fit and submitters would be kept happy adding stuff/seeing results. (Also, just noticed the Top 50 is now laid top to bottom which means you have to scroll down 3 or 4 times, what was wrong with the original layout?, where you only need to scroll once or twice, are you determined to make us sea sick:) Edited by gregs45s on 15th May 2022, 1:06 PM |

| Quad5point1 SUBS Member since Jul 2012 10767 Points | If you want to see "Latest Comments / Reviews" & "Latest Added" you just have to click on CD World or Vinyl Albums as before. For me I much prefer the new landing page as it is a lot cleaner and less cluttered. |

45spaces homepage has a responsive layout which fits any screen, but it means that the design has to be more basic. 45cat and 45worlds now have a fixed layout which is designed to fit most commonly used screens. It should look fine on an iPad when used horizontally (most are used like this). But if you have a large resolution screen then there will be empty space at the right hand side. This is a trade-off; the design should work well for most screens. |

To be able to see new items being added realtime, and comments being made etc, is most of the fun of this site, what's new, what's been added,what are people talking about etc., that's the interesting bit for me. You made 45 Spaces landing page random, and i stopped using that world for the same reason. As for the Top 50's, it seems that only Classical/Vinyl/ and CD Worlds are listing top to bottom, as opposed to the normal 3 squares wide layout. Edited by gregs45s on 18th May 2022, 11:42 AM |

We've now updated the 45worlds homepage so it shows latest added items directly on the homepage, mixed in with latest comments. |
