I've noticed two recent cases where a user added a promo label and one of us mods then made the promo the first labels that are visible in the entry, e.g.,

https://www.45worlds.com/78rpm/record/20855

https://www.45worlds.com/78rpm/record/28164us

I personally wonder if that's the best way to proceed. I often am able to write new label guides by looking at the earliest time a new standard label design shows up in the Label Discography view. If we promote the promo labels to be shown there instead, it becomes a lot more difficult to see when a certain standard label style was introduced.

For that reason, I would suggest that the first label shown should always be the oldest available standard version.

It has always been the usual practice of having the Demo as the first image this was carried over from 45cat. The original discussion from 45cat is in the Mod forum so cannot be posted here in the open forum.

Thanks for the clarification. I meant to post this in the Mod forum... Need to pay more attention next time.
