Pat Boone has a new single out at the moment - 'My Stupid Tattoo'. It's currently in the UK Heritage Chart .

You mentioned "he"......Don't know if that is a red herring or not but Petula Clark released records prior to the Charts starting in November 1952 and is still going.

Very interesting, but he isn’t 90 until June!
So there are no surviving chart-toppers from before 1956 then. There’s probably not that many from the 1950s at all. Shirley Bassey, Cliff Richard, Paul Anka, Connie Francis… Jane Morgan will be 100 this year!Edited by mister_tmg on 2nd Mar 2024, 4:02 PM

Ray Anthony, now 102, with "Dragnet" in 1953?

If we're counting the Missing Charts 40-52, then I suspect there may be some members of the Luton Girls Choir still alive (whose first charting record was in June 1948).

..
I guess to be fair we'd have to say who is the oldest individually named artist as there may as you say have been some very young little girls who would now be grandmothers
