The image is jpg and it's not even allowing me to add it to the image box now.
I can't work out why it's not accepting the image, guess I'll have to try something else.
Thank you for your suggestions any other things to try would be appreciated.
Yup, just tried selecting the file, all I'm getting is the same error message.
I'm stumped, don't know what else to try.
I have some paperbacks to add, I'll see if they give me any problems.
Ok, There seems to be a problem with my scanner, it's a new one.
The Listen To The Buddah front cover I've added was from Discogs and it uploaded without a problem, but when I tried to add the back cover which is my scanned image it wouldn't do it.
feel free to delete the Discogs image but I just wanted to see if it would work.
As I said it's a new scanner but I have sucessfully uploaded other images Such as the Falco 12" Der Kommissar, so I'm at a loss to understand why it's not working now.
Yes, no problem with anything else, just when it comes to adding to the site it won't do it.
Which was why my original question asked if anyone else was having uploading problems.
I've got to go out now so won't be around till evening.
✘ The image was not added: couldn't upload the file.
That's the message I'm now getting when I last tried to upload but before it was simply the blue coloured "error" one.
I'm about to try something else, was wondering if the dpi was too high and maybe that was affecting the upload.
Success! I've sorted it, the dpi was too high, never really thought of that because I was under the impression that the dots per inch were automatically adjusted.
Thanks to everyone who gave suggestions and help, I was so grateful for all the input.
Good news! I have had a similar problem when trying to upload an image less than 250 pixels wide. I have had to add white space either side to make it at least 250 pixels.
It's such a simple solution but it gave me hours of frustration, I reinstalled Windows because I thought maybe something had become corrupt when all I had to do was check the dpi that the scanner was set to.
Like I previously said thanks to yourself and everyone who offered a suggestion, check the dots per inch setting will now be etched into my brain.
