Out of focus scans

Thank you, yes, I'm pleased. :thumbsup: I can now proceed with the rest of my collection!

Given that people have piles of 78s stacked up (no one serious about collecting I'm sure...!), I think they can clearly withstand some weight pressure.

Its the removing it off the scanner and catching the edge on the laptop cracking the disc thats the problem

For the few 10"/12" 78's I have added, all my scans have been done with the record sitting on the raised edges of the scanner with the label raised off the glass. The resulting images have come out good without attempting to "bend" the record - example
