I have a shaped 10" interview disc... (Metallica as it happens)... do we need "Shaped Disc", "Interview Disc" or both, adding as formats? We have them on 45cat.
And if so... which do I enter my disc under? It's a 10" picture disc shaped like a circle saw blade (though sadly I dropped it some years ago, and one of the saw teeth snapped off )
Marillion did a 12" record called Brief Encounter. It has five songs and in the corner of the sleeve it says Mini-LP.
Is this safe to add as its really a 12" Ep with some b sides that hadnt been available in america before. OR shall i wait until LPworld is invented??

That one's probably just a bit too close to an LP, I'd say - it's half an hour long, 33.3rpm, and was supposed to be a collection of songs, rather than a vehicle for a main track...
a happy disposition is an omnious sign.... Member since Feb 2010 1707 Points Moderator
Just fished out some more 12" only to find a ZZTop 4 track ep thats runs at 33 1/3 ?
Its actually entitled "The ZZTop summer holiday EP" so I am assuming thats ok for here?
Hi, I have the Honey Drippers Volume One 10" 5-track EP/album (Es Paranza 790220-1). So I think this would classify as a 10" mini-album, not a 10" single but what do others think?

My own opinion is it's probably best to lump all modern day 10"s (ie not 78s) in one place, otherwise it's a case of waiting for an LPCat site, then trying to work out if it's a proper LP or not (then we'll get the same arguments, only reversed !).
Many of these 10" "Mini LP's" (see also here ) are just EP's which the record companies wanted to make more attractive. If it's 15 mins long it's not really a Long Player, whatever you call it !!

That's a fair point, I guess it would be straightforward to say if it's 10" (and not 78rpm) then it's in. Keeps things simple.
I'll add it later unless anyone gets there first.
Unless any conflicting opinions arrive in the meantime of course.
