Promos not appearing?

Hi - added my first promo release - by The Cure - and it doesn't appear to be showing in the main site. The counts suggest it has been added but you can't see it. A new bug or a known issue?

(By the way, posted this in the 12" forum by accident so you can delete it from there!)

Wonder if it's worth putting promos in simply as 12"s adding the promo detail in the notes field until there's a fix?

Does the same issue lie in CD Single World?

Any news on this one? Potentially got a few promos to stick on soon and would be good if these were visible. Should I put them in as 12"s for now and put the promo info in the Notes section?

They show up if you do a general search but they are not on the artist's site.

Take The Cure as an example. You'll see in the counts that there are 5 UK releases (8 in total) but only 4 (7 in total) are showing. The missing one is a UK promo - KSME 1 - which IS there if you do a general search for The Cure.

To confirm, 'Promo' is there as a choice when adding records but it's the visibility once added that seems to be the issue.

Ah, I see what you mean...

This may possibly be something that Orbiting Cat has fixed, but the entries made when the bug was there need to be altered. Sorry for the hassle, but could you make "Corrections" to any more like KSME 1 you see, and I'll see if it can be easily changed. If not I'll get on the blower to OC (who's been pretty busy lately, what with all these Worlds opening up !!) and ask him if he can look into it.

Sure.

I've only added two so I'll submit corrections asking for the Promo field to be reapplied and this should hopefully work. Worst case is we add them again which will take minutes.

I've just seen a couple like this. When I looked they did not have any 'Format' showing, but when I edited the format to Promo or 12" they then showed in the artist lists
Please make a correction for any further instances and mention if a 'Format' is shown for the record (and what was entered, if possible)

You could probably add a dummy record as a Promo and see what happens under the bonnet...
