Do CDs have a maximum number of track IDs? I know you can get up to all kinds of tomfoolery in a mastering studios. (Hidden tracks BEFORE the first track was a favourite of mine - spooky!) |

I can send you 2 tracks by mail if you wish. It's a promotional kind of thing for French-speaking radio stations all over the world, introduced by Manu Dibango. Are we going with this as the definitive guide to whether or not something is a CD single or not? Seems reasonable enough to me... I'm sitting on a couple of 6-trackers here wondering whether to add or not. |

Wikipedia states that "any record with more than four distinct tracks or with a playing time of more than 25 minutes is classified as an album for sales-chart purposes". I'd agree with Thatsunday that 6 tracks and under 25 minutes is fine. i.e. This 6 tracker. which is probably under 20mins is more of an EP than an LP (Long Player) Edited by Dr Doom on 7th Jan 2013, 3:03 PM |

I added this one earlier which is longer than some albums! http://www.45worlds.com/cdsingle/cd/vscdx1616 - but it's definitely a single. |
