Notes

The series originally ran for three seasons between 1978 and 1980, after which it left the air for eight years except for Christmas specials broadcast in 1983 and 1985. It returned to the air in 1988 and four more series were produced (with more than one series airing per calendar year). After the series ended in 1990 it was followed by a wrap-up Christmas special at the end of the year.

Notable for establishing Peter Davison as a star and leading to his being cast as The Doctor in Doctor Who during the series' hiatus. A different actress took over the role of Carl when the series returned in 1988.
