Competition series in which aspiring fashion models square off in international locales. Seasons - referred to as "cycles" in the series - aired usually two per calendar year, with the series being cancelled as of its 22nd cycle/season in 2015. Host and lead judge Tyra Banks is the only on-screen personality to stay with the series its entire run.

23skidoo 24th Feb 2016		VH1 just announced it is picking up the series so I've asked the mods to remove the 2015 end date.



23skidoo 15th Oct 2015		I've never been a particular fan of this show for a couple reasons. First, when it debuted on UPN it signalled a change in direction for the struggling network as it shifted its programming to meet different demographics. One casualty was the Star Trek TV franchise. I also in retrospect feel rather uncomfortable that the contestants are required to do nude photo shoots. Lots of models do just fine without having to disrobe (is there even a single Cheryl Tiegs nude in existence?) so I never felt that was necessary. A few contestants refused to take part and I recall at least one was kicked off the show because of it. I know this show has its fans, but when I heard today that it had been cancelled and will end after the current cycle concludes in December, I for one was hardly saddened by the news.
