Notes

Based upon the popular 1983 film about a high-tech helicopter used to fight crime (some flight footage from the film was reused for the TV series). Debuted at the same time as a similar series, Airwolf, appeared on another network; Airwolf survived for several seasons, but Blue Thunder was cancelled after only 11 episodes. Co-star Dana Carvey subsequently went on to stardom on Saturday Night Live.
