Notes

Notable for the producers and network continually indicating plans to change the show's title (even before the series began several titles were considered). This was reflected in the opening sequences from Season 2 onwards. Ultimately, as a joke, the show's title was finally changed to Sunshine State ... in its final episode.

Exists in the same fictional universe as Scrubs due to a character from Scrubs crossing over -- even though Cox appeared on Scrubs playing a different character. It also exists in the same universe as Community owing to another crossover.

Several former castmates from Cox's earlier series Friends made guest appearances.
