23skidoo 18th Sep 2024		Apparently, James Cameron devised Dark Angel as something of a dry run for his later adaptation of Alita Battle Angel, though you'd be hard-pressed to find many similarities between the two IPs other than both focusing on women with superhuman abilities.



23skidoo 9th Jun 2015		This show is an oddity in my viewing "collection". I loved the show during its first season, watched it religiously, became a huge fan of Jessica Alba's. The second season came along and after the first couple of episodes I realized they had eliminated almost everything I enjoyed about the first season, and I lost interest instantly. I've had shows go off the boil for me over time, including occasions where formats have been changed, but at no other time have I ever been turned off a show so completely and instantly (to the point where I didn't even bother getting the DVDs of season 1, which I liked, for a number of years). I know there are those who prefer the second season to the first, though. Michael Weatherly and Jessica Alba actually dated for a time while making the show; Weatherly's next TV series had a bit more staying power: NCIS.
