23skidoo 7th Jul 2015		There was no excuse for this charming little series to be cancelled after only two seasons, just as it was hitting its stride. Fortunately, the series had an interesting quirk (perhaps intentional given the subject matter) that nearly every episode felt like the final episode of the series the way the closing narration and summation was handled. So when DLM was unexpectedly cancelled at the end of season 2, everything still felt resolved, just as it would have felt had it been cancelled halfway through season 1, or even if the pilot had remained a standalone. The reunion movie was OK, but too much time had passed, they weren't able to get everyone back (I think Patinkin was committed to Criminal Minds and Harris was doing another TV series) and it just didn't feel the same.
