Notes

Spin-off of Barney Miller focusing on Abe Vigoda's character Det. Phil Fish. Vigoda continued to play Fish on the parent series until the start of the 1977-78 season when he left to devote full time to starring in the spin-off, which only lasted till the end of the season.

The series focused on Fish and his wife becoming foster parents to a group of troubled youths, several of whom had previously appeared on Barney Miller.

23skidoo 2nd Sep 2015		I remember liking this show better than Barney Miller (as a little kid I always found Abe Vigoda funny). I'd completely forgotten that Todd Bridges was in this before Diff'rent Strokes. And for trivia hounds, note the name Barry Gordon in the cast list. He started his career as a child singer, originating the Christmas standard "I'm Getting Nuttin' for Christmas" back in the early 1950s and in the 1990s he became president of the Screen Actors Guild. Obviously neither that song nor his role in "Fish" affected his ability to become the head of SAG!
