Hepburn's final film appearance was as host of this PBS documentary series on famous gardens, filmed around the world in 1990. Michael York recorded additional narration, reportedly after Hepburn became too ill to complete the work. The series debuted on US TV the day after Hepburn died. Hepburn won a posthumous Emmy for her work.

Eight episodes were produced, but the final two were not broadcast until 1996.
