harley 18th Jul 2015		@Seagull Woman Nicholas Bond-Owen who played Tristram Fourmile is now married with two sons and no longer acts.



Seagull Woman 18th Jul 2015		Still good for a laugh. Dated, yes, but so what? It's a classic. The movie was a bit of a let down though. Anyone know what became of Tristram?



23skidoo 17th Jul 2015		Man About the House was later remade as Three's Company, and The Ropers, a spinoff of that show, was based on George and Mildred.

Monolith ● 19th Jun 2015		I always reckoned that Brian Murphy was vastly underused in British TV. Maybe he wasn't interested much, but I don't remember seeing him starring in anything worthwhile after this.

biffbampow 13th May 2015		Yes, there's quite a few series which had shorter lifespans than one originally seem to recall. Maybe the fact that the characters had been part of "Man About The House" for a while before given this spin off adds to the illusion. Yootha Joyce was a great comic talent who was absolutely perfect here with that constant sexual frustration undercurrent which she captured beautifully. A shame about her drink problem which took her away too early.



Dr Doom SUBS ● 13th May 2015		Surprised to see this was only on for three years. It seemed like more (In a good way) Must have been huge as it certainly made a cultural impact. My cat is called Mildred and people often assume there was another one called George! (That's not the 'Cultural Impact' I hasten to add)
