Notes

An early example of a widely circulated series produced for online viewing, Gotham Girls consisted of three "seasons" of Flash-animated interactive minisodes that could be accessed online. The seasons were uploaded over the course of three years and included options for viewers to guide the story.

Linear versions of the episodes (without the interactive elements) were later released on DVD alongside the 2003 series Birds of Prey. The original online version of the episodes is reportedly no longer available officially.

23skidoo 21st Aug 2015		I don't know the official 45 Worlds opinion on web series of this nature, but the fact there was a "complete series" release on DVD (as a bonus with Birds of Prey) I think qualifies it. There were some 30 episodes made, released over three seasons, and it even spawned a comic book spinoff so in some respects this was a more successful series than Birds of Prey!
