RadoxTheGreen 31st May 2015		The novels predated the Avengers, but the TV series was only brought out after Aaron Spelling watched The Avengers (which started airing in 1961) and was impressed with Honor Blackman to the point of offering her the lead role in this show. She turned it down to do Goldfinger. I don't know about credits for animals. I've never seen it mentioned that they can't be added. If they are a major part of the programme's cast then I don't see why not, although minor roles would be a definite no no IMO. Bruce appeared in 17 of the 30 episodes made and stopped at least one bad guy from stealing the car. IMDB have him listed as "actor" so that's good enough for me. As far as Lassie goes, there was often more than one dog in the role during the series. Pal was the principal dog in most episodes and movies, or one of his offspring.



23skidoo 🍰 30th May 2015		Honey West actually predated The Avengers by a number of years, and she never really got into the leathers the way Emma Peel and Cathy Gale did, but this show was still somewhat ahead of its time. Question: are we allowed to give cast credits for animals? I didn't think we could do that. I'm hoping to add Littlest Hobo and Lassie before long and this is important to know!
