Notes

Early seasons were titled Puppet Playhouse Presents Howdy Doody.

Spawned international versions produced in Mexico and Canada. The Canadian version ran for five years and featured early TV appearances by future Star Trek stars James Doohan and William Shatner, as well as singer Robert Goulet.

One of the first actors to play Clarabell was Bob Keeshan. After leaving the series, he went on to create Captain Kangaroo.
