Originally broadcast as Isis as a segment of The Shazam/Isis Hour. Syndicated as The Secrets of Isis (which is also the DVD release title). The character later reappeared in the animated series Freedom Force. Decades later Erica Durance (as a magic amulet-possessed Lois Lane) played a version of the character in an episode of Smallville.

The character of Isis was later revived briefly for The Freedom Force, a segment of the 1978 anthology series Tarzan and the Super 7, though Cameron did not reprise the character in voice form.

Isis is significant as the first weekly live-action American TV series to feature a female superhero as the lead character, predating both the launch of the weekly Lynda Carter Wonder Woman series and The Bionic Woman by several months.

23skidoo ● 31st May 2015		@Magic Marmalade. Keep in mind this was 35 years before that other ISIS came along. This is one of a relatively few US series from the 1970s that actually has some lost elements. The original broadcasts ended with Isis talking to viewers and discussing the moral of each episode (producers of Saturday morning programs in the US were forced to do this with almost every show well into the 1980s). When Isis was syndicated apparently these scenes were stripped and apparently the negatives lost, so when they released the show to DVD they had to track down off-air recordings dating from the 1970s so viewers could see the original finales of each episode. Because an extra 60 seconds of JoAnna Cameron as Isis is never a bad thing.
