Acclaimed but short-lived medical documentary series that aired in the fall of 1978 (some sources like IMDb give incorrect 1979 run dates; according The Complete Directory to Prime Time Network and Cable TV Shows, 1946-Present the series was off the air by the end of 1978. IMDb also lists an alternate title, Operation: Lifeline but this is not confirmed.

The series was part of a short-lived trend of medical-related prime-time reality series (such as Body Human). It was also a forerunner of police-based reality shows like Cops.

23skidoo 30th May 2016		Years before shows like Bones and CSI made forensic gore as normal on TV as kissing, us deprived youngsters had to rely on shows like Lifeline for the gross-out factor.
