@23skidoo. Sorry for the Wait. You are Correct, It was Season1 that had the Theme Intact as I had to run through the Season's Box Sets. The Rest feature the Rubbish Instrumental on the start. And the Original Uncut Broadcast sets (Bootleg's) that I have. All have the Theme Start and Finish. H.

@henry29 Actually I had an official studio Region 1 DVD box set of either Season 1 or 2 that had the original theme intact. It was later seasons (and possibly reissues of the early seasons) that removed the theme. There are plenty of bootlegs around, of course, and I know people who upload to YouTube tend to prefer to use the broadcast versions because it had the original theme.

@23skidoo. The ones with Theme Intact are Video Rips. Recorded from the TV back In the Day. And are not Paying for the Copyright of the Theme Song. Where as for the Official Releases do and are Edited to. As They say W****er a lot as It was Peggy's Family Maiden Name. But a Rude word here In the Yook. And Yes Christina Applegate Is a Goddess In this worth watching just for Her Appearances. The Episode when She has a Rival In the French Exchange Student (Droooooolllllll). H.

@BiggieTembo. That might actually be the perfect summation of Married with Children!

I've always been annoyed that the DVD releases are rarely the same as what was seen on TV. Due to licensing issues they aren't allowed to use Frank Sinatra's "Love and Marriage" as the theme song. Replacing it with a generic piece of instrumental music ruins the atmosphere. (Some DVD releases do have the original theme, and some do not. Not sure the story there.)

Shown in the UK on the come-back-from-the-pub-drunk-slot. I used to watch it until I flaked out. Can't ever remember seeing it until the end. Room-spin must have stabilised to a point that I could sleep without yakking up. Can only ever remember the start with any detail, when Al used to dole out money to everyone, including the dog. Something I only realised was true, until I was married with children myself, aye!

Came to this show late, and enjoyed it, some great one-liners and caustic remarks abound.
Christina Applegate was very easy on the eye too.
