23skidoo 9th Jul 2015		Best remembered today for the theme song by Merle Haggard. Although the show survived for two seasons it was never a major hit. I think it was more a case of timing as the show ended its run a year before Smokey and the Bandit triggered the trucker/CB radio boom of the late 1970s that led to trucker series such as BJ and the Bear (in which Akins also appeared), and thematically similar shows like Dukes of Hazzard. If Movin' On had been made two years later (or had survived another two years) it might have done quite well. (And the world might have been spared the horror that was The Misadventures of Sheriff Lobo).
