Neil Forbes 3rd Jul 2015		Correct, RC., NBN is Newcastle's first(thus incumbent) commercial TV station, commenced broadcasting in March, 1962 and is the ONLY regional station in all Australia that still produces its own in-house comprehensive new bulletin. Night Court was a late-night comedy show aired here in the years just before that Bob Hawke brain-fart called regional TV market aggregation was inflicted on us. (Bob Hawke was prime minister of Australia at the time we won the America's Cup yachting race).

Neil Forbes 2nd Jul 2015		Actually, RC, in the days before that accursed regional TV market aggregation(a Bob Hawke brain-fart of seismic magnitude), NBN did have this show as part of its regular schedule, so it wasn't just a "time-slot filler".

I remember once scene where Bull Shannon(Richard Moll) was talking about his life being fulfilled by a miracle, this while nursing a statue of an armadillo. As he spoke, the statue came to life! This was great comedy! They just don't make shows like this anymore, more's the pity!
