23skidoo 9th Nov 2015		@George. I don't know what is "politically correct" about putting a female character in a role of authority in a series made and set in the late 1990s. Now I don't know if this was based upon a Benchley novel or anything - if it was changed from the source material then OK I could see the objection. But otherwise I don't understand the issue here. Otherwise yeah trying to replicate the jungle in Toronto doesn't work. When they tried to do the same thing with Swiss Family Robinson in the 70s it got to be comical because they filmed some location stuff in the Caribbean and the rest of it in some park near Toronto and the joins were plainly visible even then.



George Slv 8th Nov 2015		Episodes written by Peter Benchley. They had one big neat jungle set around Toronto. To me it didn't work. They just HAD TO update it for "political correctness" and chose one of the females as the leader. The male personalities were like out of 1980s rock culture. The natives were portrayed as witless savages, which is never really true.
