Found a title screen for Series 1. I've asked for it to be swapped out for the Series 2 title screen currently in place.

Not a show I'm interested in, but I do credit its success with Davies being given the green light to bring back Doctor Who a few years later. I can't think of two shows further apart in subject matter, but without one we might not have had the other. (Or someone less capable might have been hired to do the Doctor Who revival and we might not be still enjoying it 10 years later.) Interesting that the original QAF ran only for a year, while the US version ran for several. Ironically that's the reverse of Davies' DW success Steven Moffat whose series Coupling enjoyed a run of several years in the UK, but burned out in less than a year in the US version. Except in QAF's case both versions were well received.

Groundbreaking and genuinely brilliant drama from the pen of Russell T Davies.

I watched it all again a couple of years back on DVD - it was still compelling viewing. Hugely controversial at the time of course due to the often graphic sexual content (controversial mainly in repressed middle England I should imagine), a fact that did it absolutely no harm at all in publicity terms.

If you've never seen it, you really should. Excellent stuff.
