Sitcom spoofing the western TV genre, set in the 19th century. Cancelled after 17 episodes. The theme song was performed by Frankie Laine, seven years before he performed the theme for another western spoof, Blazing Saddles.

 I'm reading a book on the making of the first season of the original Star Trek. Apparently they shared backlots at Desilu studios and the production of Rango apparently was a pain in the butt sometimes when TOS had to film on location. LOL
