Notes

Considered the first completely computer-animated TV series. Produced in Canada by YTV the series aired on ABC in the US for a time as part of its Saturday morning line up, with ABC placing a number of restrictions on the producers regarding anything that might be considered mature content. After ABC cancelled the series, it continued to be produced for YTV and the storylines became more mature in nature, though it was still considered a children's series.

There was a three-year gap between broadcast of the third season and the abbreviated fourth season, which initially aired in Canada as two made-for-TV movies, Daemon Rising and My Two Bobs. For US broadcast and later syndication, the films were reedited into 8 episodes.

In 2015, producers confirmed a revival/sequel series, ReBoot: The Guardian Code, with a 26-episode first season, is to the produced.

Two actors voiced the character of Bob, with the original actor returning to voice an aspect of Bob alongside his replacement in the final season. No less than 6 actors voiced the character of Enzo Matrix during the show's run.

Once ABC no longer had its claws in this, the makers were able to give a show a bit of an edge. They added hints of romance, among other things, and Season 3 was just amazing in how they put together some remarkably dark storylines while also doing some pretty good spoofs on Star Trek, The Prisoner and other shows. Anyone who watched the early ABC episodes and threw their hands up should check out the last 2 seasons. Apparently the new series just announced will be a (sorry) reboot of the concept and according to one report is supposed to include live-action so it'll probably be more like a variation of Tron than this.
