23skidoo 16th Aug 2015		Having been fascinated by Mary Queen of Scots for years (I even tried writing a novel about her once) I was looking forward to this show but they just took far too many liberties with the history (I mean, what the heck is Nostradamus doing here?). And I found the show to be too highly sexualized for my taste (and, frankly, for the subject matter). Some have dismissed such complaints by saying the show is meant to be a fantasy (I seriously considered categorizing it as such and would have if given a fourth option because of Nostradamus being a character) but I think a really good, intelligent, adult series could have been made based on Mary's early life without turning it into a costume drama equivalent of Skins. The only reason I gave it a 2 rating instead of a 1 is because it was great to see Megan Follows back on TV again and the scenery was pretty.
