Notes

Spin-off of The Mary Tyler Moore Show (1970-1977). The never-seen character of Carlton the Doorman became popular enough that an attempt at an animated spin-off was made but never got beyond a pilot, "Carlton You Doorman" that was broadcast in 1980 (voice actor Lorenzo Music later went on to provide the voice of Garfield the cat on TV, playing Garfield in the same style that he played Carlton).

Followed in 2000 by the TV movie Mary and Rhoda which served as a reunion/follow-up film for both this series and The Mary Tyler Moore Show.

Nancy Walker was a regular on the series concurrent with her starring in Blansky's Beauties and The Nancy Walker Show
