Notes

Short-lived drama series focusing on the life and family of a steel mill foreman. The pilot TV movie ran three hours and aired as part of the anthology series The Big Event a week prior to the series debut. The series proper ran for only five episodes.

23skidoo 19th Oct 2015		Often cited as a cautionary tale about choosing poorly when it comes to titling a series. Skag, as I recall because I actually watched it at the time, was a not-bad family drama. But what sunk it was its rough-sounding title which among other things sounded like a vulgarity back in the day. I remember reading that the series might have survived a little longer if it had carried a different title, even just the character's full last name. A cop show called Eischied from around the same time ran into a similar problem, though in that case it had more to do with the fact no one knew how to say it properly. Or spell it.
