Six-episode prequel miniseries/spin-off of the main Spartacus series. Originally conceived as a flashback episode, but expanded into a standalone miniseries when production of the main series entered hiatus due to its star being diagnosed with Non-Hodgkin Lymphoma. The series features many cast members from the original series playing younger versions of their characters.
