23skidoo 19th Jul 2015		Square Pegs, even though it only lasted one season, is now remembered in many ways as the 1980s equivalent of Happy Days. The big difference is while Happy Days was a period piece set in the 50s and 60s from the point of view of the 70s and 80s, Square Pegs was an instant period piece made at the time it was set. Watching it now is like looking into a time capsule, with references to the then-current recession and other things. It actually holds up quite well, even as a period piece. I remember Merritt Butrick did this right after doing Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan so he was quite popular at the time. Tracy Nelson was the daughter of singer Ricky Nelson.
