A syndicated half-hour series produced by Al Gannaway for three seasons. Telecast weekly on ABC from January 1955 through 1956 in monochrome. The films were color and were distributed in many other ways in the following years.

George Slv 25th Dec 2020		I only know that the TV series was named the Country Show. Gannaway may have used Stars Of The Grand Ole Opry for theatrical showings and later for video. They might have tried to use it at the start of the TV series. The Grand Ole Opry disputed his use of the name. I've added an image from the closing of one show on video showing Al Gannaway. Images of him were not easy to find.



23skidoo 29th Sep 2018		Trying to see if I can find a title card with the show's original title but it appears the title was announced in voiceover only and didn't appear on a title card, but maybe someone can correct me on that. All that said, is it confirmed that the original title wasn't The Country Show if the B&W version was the first to be broadcast?
