Notes

Adapted from the Broadway production Paul Sills' Story Theatre in which improvisational actors performed stories based upon fairy tales and folk tales. Several cast members from the Broadway show appeared in the TV version, and guest stars included a pre-MASH Alan Alda.

23skidoo 15th Sep 2015		Story Theatre is one of the very first TV shows I ever watched as a child. I remember how the show opened with the cast riding this big wagon made up to look like a portable theatre, and I remember well Avery Schreiber for some reason. I seriously haven't laid eyes on this show since 1972, though when I found the opening title sequence on YouTube I instantly remembered it. Severn Darden went on to be a villain in one of the Planet of the Apes movies, Melinda Dillon was one of the stars of Close Encounters, and Peter Bonerz went straight from this to The Bob Newhart Show.
