TV Series
Notes From the producer of the first Christopher Reeve Superman films and Supergirl, though there is no narrative connection with the movies and this modern-day-set prequel. This series followed an early 1960s attempt at a Superboy series that never went beyond a pilot, and a late-1960s animated series, and was the first live-action Superman-based series since George Reeves' Adventures of Superman series in the 1950s. It was followed a year after its cancellation by Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman. The second season saw the roles of both Clark Kent and Lex Luthor recast. The third season saw the series title change to The Adventures of Superboy and a change in format that saw Clark and Lana no longer a students but investigators for an X-Files-like organization.
