Not to be confused with the American Swiss Family Robinson TV series that aired during the 1975-1976 TV series; this Canadian-made series, which was partially shot on location in Jamaica and in Ontario, was cancelled after one season due to the American series being commissioned, though CTV continued to air reruns for years afterward on Saturday mornings. IMDb erroneously gives a 1976 start date.

23skidoo 16th Oct 2015		@RC I did a little hunting around for Australian sci-fi shows from around 1975. There were a pair of shows called Andra and Alpha Scorpio. Both were aimed at kids and as such might have been a good fit to air next to either the Canadian or American versions of SFR. On another note, I'm going to ask the mods to add [Canada] and [US] to the show titles for both versions. They aired so closely together it might be helpful to differentiate them a bit more now I think about it.

23skidoo 21st Aug 2015		Understandably, people often get confused between this series and the US series that followed a year later. To help confirm which one you are remembering, here are the opening and closing credits to the Canadian version of Swiss Family Robinson. I like the theme music better on this one, myself:

23skidoo 14th Jun 2015		The Heather Graham who starred in this is not to be confused with the American actress. I used to watch this show just before The Six Million Dollar Man during SMDM's first season. It was rather unusual for a Canadian series to be filmed in the Caribbean but they made up for it by apparently shooting any scene not set on a beach in central Ontario!
